ARC FACILITIES
Our Boathouse & Clubhouse The Austin Rowing Club boathouse is currently under construction, but the clubhouse - with locker-rooms, showers, and an indoor training space with several Concept2 ergometers is still standing, until construction of the new facility is complete. Please note, although we continue to provide private boat storage while under construction, your privately owned rowing shell will be stored outside. Construction is scheduled to be complete in March of 2012.
Lady Bird Lake Austin's Lady Bird Lake provides almost 18,000 meters of protected water between the Longhorn Dam and Redbud Island. For a map of the traffic pattern, bridges and navigational hazards, please click here.
Directions & Parking I-35 to Austin, exit 1st Street (downtown). Go West on 1st Street to Trinity. Turn left on Trinity, and drive one block to dead end cul-de-sac at Lady Bird Lake. The ARC is a short walk down the path to the lake. There is NO PARKING at the boathouse. Please park on any of the nearby downtown streets or garages. For a map of our location, click here.
For Visiting Teams ARC
can provide your crew with a fun, safe rowing experience in preparation
for a successful spring season. With miles of peaceful, motor-boat free
waterways, several hotels and restaurants within walking distance of
the club, and a warm-weather climate, it's no wonder Rowing News
Magazine voted Austin one of the top-10 places to row in America. For
information on dock fees, equipment and launch rental, please email our
Director or see our page for visitors.
