Juniors Win 8 State Championship Titles
The ARC Juniors competed in the Texas State Championships on April 25 and brought home eight State titles.
 Starting off the day, the junior girls won the quad event with open water. Erin Leddy (home school), Marie Claire Serou (Austin High), Gabby Fleming (Austin High) and Heather House (Lake Travis) completed the regular season undefeated.
 The varsity boys were up next and showed great composure and determination to win the varsity 2x event by less than a second. Jake Martens (Bowie) and Forrest Compton (Anderson) finished the regular season undefeated.
The JV girls quads also had equal success finishing 1st, 3rd, and 4th in the event. Sara Hyten (Westlake), Susan Bartoletti (St. Andrews), Emily Glickman (McCallum) and Allison Talbot (Westwood) won the event with open water. Sara and Allison would go on to win the JV girls 2x event in the afternoon.
The JV boys 2x of Dylan Quiqley (Westwood) and Andrew Martens (Bowie) rowed with style to win the event with open water.
Marie Claire and Gabby continued to row strong winning the varsity girls 2x event and going undefeated in the regular season. Serou would finish the day by winning the varsity girls 1x event and teammate Leddy taking the silver.
In the Varsity boys 1x event, teammates Jake Martens and Forrest Compton fight it out to finish first and second as Forrest wins the cup.
