Four Graduating Seniors to Continue Rowing in College
Four ARC juniors will be continuing their rowing at NCAA Division I universities in the fall of 2009. Erin Leddy will join her older sister Aidan at the University of Tulsa. Marie Claire Serou has signed with the University of Miami as the first ARC Junior to attend Miami. Heather House will be the first rower from Austin to row for the University of Oklahoma. Allison Talbot will stay closer to home at Southern Methodist University where she joins former teammates Lauren Doucet and Annie Tremaine. Congratulations to all graduating seniors and the best of luck in their collegiate rowing careers.
Over the years, Austin Rowing Club Juniors have gone on to row for Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, University of Cincinnati, Duke, UCLA, University of Texas, Oregon State, Dartmouth, Smith, Lewis and Clark, Clemson, Purdue, Cornell, San Diego State, and Oklahoma City University. There are scholarship opportunities for both high school girls and boys who excel in the sport.
