Private Lessons
New to Rowing?
Austin Rowing Club offers month long Intro to Rowing classes beginning in February and running through November. Click here to see a schedule of our classes.
Sometimes the class schedule does not work for you - or you may want to learn at your own pace. Scheduling a Private Lesson is an alternate way to learn to row in a single scull.
Private Lessons can be arranged with any member of our coaching staff at the rate of $50 per hour for one person, or $75 per hour for two people.
With private instruction, you will learn quickly. It takes most people between 4-6 lessons to reach a level of proficiency suitable for club membership.
Once you become a club member, you may continue to row on your own, or join up with one of our club crews to row in a team boat. Ongoing group coaching is available at no extra cost to club members.
Private Lessons are also a great way for advanced rowers to improve upon technique.
